Maltego Integrates with Scamadviser

Maltego is an open-source intelligence and graphical link analysis tool for gathering and connecting information for investigative tasks. The application now offers Scamadviser data integration and data bundles, bringing its scam analysis of millions of websites into Maltego. 

Scamadviser’s Maltego integration helps law enforcement, tax agencies, brand protection organizations and consumer authorities to better identify possible scam networks. Each domain is given Scamadviser’s unique Trust Score, helping you determine the reliability of a website. You can also use the Scamadviser in Maltego to filter domains on several criteria like Trust Score, Popularity, Country where the service is hosted, Tags, Keywords and much more.

• Use Tags to filter domains for a collection of keywords (For example, “brands – expensive” AND “deals – high risk”) to find possible IP infringements.
• Combine search criteria with the Country where the server is hosted to focus on specific sites. For example, which domains are offering “crack cocaine” and are hosted in Canada.
• Discover new (fraudulent) sites which may be scams in your own language region. For example, websites offering the new Playstation 5 in Dutch and only existed for the last 30 days.

Maltego also offers customization of Scamadviser’s domain search and filter criteria to meet your investigation needs.
